Healthy Macdonough is a Childhood Obesity Prevention pilot project of the Community Health Center, Inc. (CHC).  It targets high-risk children ages 5 to 11 enrolled in kindergarten through 5th grade at Macdonough Elementary school in Middletown, Connecticut.  It is a partnership between CHC, the Middletown Public School System, diverse community organizations and parents working together to create an environment at Macdonough School that 1) engages parents in promoting healthier nutrition and physical activity choices for themselves and their children and that 2) encourages them to advocate for systems and policy changes that make such options more widely available.
